Welcome to the Website for
PromisedLand: The Ultimate Goal.

Construction Continues

May 9, 2007 — The roofing and siding are being installed. It is starting to look like a finished building from the outside. Inside, preparations are being made to install the '"ccessories" in the auditorium. Three of the wings are 90% drywalled (the admin wing will be finished last) and the commons area is ready for drywall floor to ceiling. Excitement is all around as the building starts to look like the finished product that we have planned for almost 3 years ago now.

The Structure is Enclosed at 990

February 13, 2007 — The shell of the building is fully enclosed. Heat has been turned on inside the building and work is being done at a faster rate now that the chill has been taken out of the air. The electrical and mechanical infrastructure is currently being installed. The auditorium floor is being prep'ed for the final pour sometime in the next few weeks. Click on the link below for some updated photos.

Current Structure at 990

November 26, 2006 — The steel super-structure continues to take shape with the auditorium skeleton fully assembled. The atrium is currently being erected as the steel is being delivered. Concrete floors continue to be poured as weather permits. Pray for the weather to be conducive for construction. Our goal is to have the auditorium area to be fully enclosed by Christmas '06.

The Lord has mightily blessed in 2004!

Since September 26,2004, a total of $458,145.33 has come in for Promised Land - the Ultimate Goal! The total promised for 2004 was $458,000—God's people have already exceeded that! With these funds and a previously existing balance in the Building Fund, we were able to close on the Drouin property on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 with a check for the entire amount! It is no longer the "Drouin property"—it is the FBBC property!! It was not necessary to tap into any other funds—thank you for giving in such a God-honoring way!

Plans are proceeding toward applying for necessary permits and other requirements with the Town at the end of December. The conceptual drawings are just about ready to be "signed off" and we will begin moving toward working drawings very soon (view the latest drawings).

Praise the Lord for all He has done—and will do!

Commitment Sunday!

Sunday, September 26, marked the kickoff of PromisedLand: The Ultimate Goal campaign. During each of the morning services, we asked people to turn in their commitment cards and participate in the cash offering. Pastor Grace preached a message titled, "The Commitments of Christ."

What a testimony to God's faithfulness the offering was! 240 commitment cards came in, to bring the total at that time to 320; the dollar figure attached to these cards was over $3.7 million!

The cash offering for Commitment Sunday was $186,738—the largest single offering in the history of First Bible Baptist Church!

Stay up-to-date as we move forward with the campaign.

This is an exciting time at First Bible Baptist Church. The Lord has blessed our ministries in so many ways! It is time for us to expand! It is time for PromisedLand: The Ultimate Goal! This endeavor will enable us to “Rise and Go—Together” as the Israelites did when they crossed over the Jordan River and possessed the Promised Land. It will give our ministries the ability to grow and reach more people with the Gospel.

We will be adding information to this site on a regular basis. You will find Bible studies for you and your family, information on making commitments to pray and give, video and audio promoting the vision of our Pastor, and much more. Please email us if there is something you would like to see on the site that we haven't added yet.

Ode to the Saved Man

A poem by Nancy Motley
(from an early FBBC campaign)

To those who fell a human sea
Begin to rise, from sin set free
"Build, O men, keep building!"

To those who raise the Word of God
As an example for man to trod.
"Build, O men, keep building!"

For they are the common star
Of all we live in, all we are,
In sons and more sons near and far—
"Build, O men, keep building!"

And rear your church all around
Our common feet and common ground,
Giving our love a common sound—
"Build, O men, keep building!"

And let us feel there is no night
Can ever hide the glowing light—
The light He saw, the light He spread—
And all our sight, though He is dead—and risen
"Build, O men, keep building!"

And even tho' your labor's done
To complete building number one,
Rise up again, there's more to be done!
"Build, O men, keep building!"

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I’m already giving to the SportsPark. Is this over and above that donation?
That is your choice. The SportsPark will always have needs and is worthy of our donations. The new church campus is now our primary focus for capital development.

2. Are other groups going to be invited to use the facility—SportsPark, etc?
We are building to accommodate a very large group: all the unsaved and unchurched of our community. Other not-for-profit “groups” may be allowed to use our facilities, as they do now, if their purposes do not conflict with ours and the schedule allows. These uses are considered bridge events. We do not wish to allow for profit groups. That gets too legally complicated.
